Home Renovation Work We Handle.

Emerald Green is a licensed and insured Florida contractor. We build new homes from the ground up and we renovate existing ones, including condo units.

New Home Construction

Ground-up residential construction on your lot. Coastal builds carry elevation, wind, and flood code demands that inland builds do not, and getting those decisions right at the design stage is cheaper than correcting them at inspection.

Kitchen Remodels

Full kitchen renovation for homes and condo units. Layout changes, cabinetry, counters, backsplash, lighting, and the trade sequencing that keeps a kitchen from sitting half-finished for six weeks while everyone waits on one subcontractor.

Bathroom Remodels

Primary baths, guest baths, and multi-bath projects. Walk-in and curbless showers, tub-to-shower conversions, vanities, tile, and fixtures. Bathroom renovation is how most Southwest Florida homeowners first work with a general contractor, and it is the fastest way to learn whether a contractor communicates.

Flooring

Removal, subfloor prep, and installation across whole homes or single rooms. Tile, luxury vinyl plank, and hard surface throughout. Coastal homes put demands on flooring that inland homes never see, and material choice carries more weight here than most owners expect.

Whole-Home and Condo Unit Renovation

Multi-room projects where kitchen, baths, and flooring get handled under one contract instead of three separate ones with three schedules that do not talk to each other.

Drywall, Trim, and Interior Paint

The finish trades that carry a renovation across the line. Available as part of a larger project or as standalone work.

Emerald Green started as a contracting company. Rebuilding flooded property is what led us into flood protection, and the contracting side never went anywhere. Same license, same crews, whether we are putting up a new building or remodeling one.

Renovating While You Are Up North.

Plenty of homes here sit empty from May through October. That is the best window on the calendar for renovation work.

Come Back to a Finished House

Work done in the off months means you come back to a finished house instead of living through demolition. It also means shorter permit review, materials that arrive when they are supposed to, and crews that are scheduled rather than squeezed in.

Updates While You Are Away

We photograph progress, send updates on the schedule you want, and handle the walkthrough remotely if you cannot be here for it. You get keys back to a house that is done.

Coastal Homes Renovate Differently.

Renovating on the Southwest Florida coast is not the same job as renovating inland, and a contractor who treats it the same way costs you money later. This is the part of the job we know better than most contractors in the market, because protecting coastal property from water is the rest of our business.

Salt Air and Humidity

Hard on cabinet hardware, fasteners, and finishes. Material selection matters more here than it does two hours north.

Flood Zone Rules Can Change Your Scope

If a renovation in a designated flood zone exceeds half the structure's value, the whole building may have to be brought up to current flood code. That single rule has reshaped more Southwest Florida projects than any other. We flag it at the walkthrough rather than at the permit desk.

Elevation and Ground-Floor Limits

Affect what can be finished below base flood elevation and what cannot.

Storm Season Timing

Decides whether a project runs clean or stalls waiting on materials and inspectors.

Licensed, Insured, and Accountable.

Southwest Florida has a large population of contractors bidding residential work they are not licensed or insured to perform. The bid comes in lower. The exposure lands on the homeowner, and unpermitted work follows the house to closing.

The Standard We Bring

Emerald Green holds Florida general contractor licensing and carries full insurance on every project. We have completed more than 700 flood protection installations across Florida, and the same standards carry into renovation work. We are rarely the lowest bid. We are the contractor who returns the call, over-communicates on schedule, and makes it right when something goes wrong on site.

Ask for the License and COI

Ask every contractor bidding your project for a license number and a current certificate of insurance. How fast they produce it tells you most of what you need to know.

Two Current Florida Licenses

CRC1334485, Certified Residential Contractor, and CGC1538211, Certified General Contractor. Both are current, and both are certified rather than registered, which means we are licensed to build across the state rather than in a single county.

Remodel and Protect in One Project.

We are the only contractor in this market that handles both. If your home is due for renovation and sits somewhere water can reach, doing the two together saves a full mobilization. One permit cycle, one crew in your home, one contractor answering for all of it.

Honest Answers

Home Renovation Questions.

Do you build new homes?

Yes. We take ground-up residential construction along with remodels and renovations on existing homes and condo units.

Do I need a licensed contractor for a bathroom or kitchen remodel?

Anything that moves plumbing, alters electrical, or changes structure requires a permit and a licensed general contractor. Unpermitted work becomes a problem at resale and can complicate an insurance claim after a storm.

How long does a kitchen or bathroom remodel take?

A single bathroom commonly runs a few weeks once materials are on site. Kitchens and whole-home projects run longer. Material lead times drive the schedule more than labor does, which is why we order early.

Can you renovate my condo unit?

Yes. Condo work adds association approval, elevator and access scheduling, and work-hour rules. We handle that coordination.

Can you do the work while I am out of state?

Yes. We send progress photos and updates on whatever cadence you want and can run the final walkthrough remotely.

What does a remodel cost?

Pricing runs by scope, home, and site conditions, so we quote after the in-home assessment rather than from a rate sheet. The assessment is free.
