Hurricane Flood Protection
Keep the Storm Outside
Custom-engineered flood protection for waterfront homes, condominiums, and commercial property across the Southwest Florida coast. Designed for your building, installed by a licensed Florida contractor, and ready before the next storm.

What a Complete Flood Defense Includes
A property is only as protected as its weakest opening. We assess the whole building, then install the pieces it needs.
Flood Barriers
A custom aluminum plank system engineered to the exact openings on your property. Doors, garages, lanais, and low walls. The planks seal water out and store compactly between storms. This is the core of hurricane flood protection, and it is where most properties start.

Sliding-door and window protection for the large glass openings that define waterfront living and take the hardest hit in a storm.

Not every flood comes from outside. A burst supply line while you are up north can do the same damage as a storm surge, silently, for days. This system shuts water off at the source.

Deployment, monitoring, and maintenance handled for you, so the system is in place and working whether or not you are in the state when a storm forms.

Flood protection suffers when the process involves separate vendors who never see the whole building. We engineer and install every layer under one contract, so the barriers, the glass protection, and the leak detection work as a single storm-surge protection system rather than parts bought from three companies.
Custom-Engineered
No two coastal properties flood the same way. Elevation, opening sizes, thresholds, and the direction water moves across your lot all change what the barrier system needs to be. Every system we install is engineered to the building it protects:
Measured to your property
Every panel is cut to the exact openings on your building, not trimmed down from a stock size.
Sized to each opening
Doors, garages, lanais, and low walls each get a panel engineered to fit them.
Mounted into the building
Fixed mounting points are set during installation, so deployment is fast and the seal is tight.
Sealed to your flood height
Protection height is matched to your property's flood exposure, not to a standard panel.
Made to store
The finished system packs down compactly and stays out of the way between storms.
How Installation Works
-
1
Free on-site assessment
We walk the property, measure every opening, and map how water reaches the building.
-
2
Custom engineering and quote
Panels sized to your openings, mounting plan, seal height, and line-item pricing. Every property prices differently because every property floods differently.
-
3
Fabrication
Your system is cut and finished to spec.
-
4
Installation and walkthrough
We install, set your storage, and show you exactly how the system deploys. Then it is ready and waiting.
Licensed and Insured
Emerald Green holds Florida general contractor licensing and carries full insurance on every project. We hold two certified state licenses, CGC1538211 and CRC1334485, both current and both certified rather than registered, which is what lets us work anywhere in the state instead of a single county.

Hurricane Flood Protection Questions
How much does hurricane flood protection cost?
Pricing runs by property, by the number and size of openings, and by the height of protection your building needs, so we quote after the on-site assessment rather than from a rate sheet. The assessment is free and carries no obligation. We are not the cheapest option in the market. We are the one still standing between your home and the water when it counts.
How is the system installed?
We set permanent mounting points into the building during installation. When a storm approaches, the panels lock into those points and seal. The mounts stay put year-round and stay out of sight; the panels go up only when you need them.
Where do I store the barriers between storms?
The plank system stores compactly on-site. We plan the storage footprint during the assessment and set up a spot that fits your property, whether that is a garage, a closet, or a dedicated rack.
Will it stop storm surge, and how high?
The system is engineered to a seal height matched to your property's flood exposure, so the protection height is set to your building, not to a standard panel. We walk you through the rated height for your openings in the quote.
Do I still need this if I have impact windows and doors?
Yes. Impact glass is designed for wind and flying debris. It is not a water seal, and rising water does not come through the glass, it comes under doors, through garages, and across thresholds. Flood barriers handle the water impact glass was never made to stop.
Can you install while I am out of state?
Yes. We handle the assessment, installation, and walkthrough on a schedule that works around your travel, and our Concierge Program can deploy and monitor the system while your home sits empty.
